A mother and child figurine is a physical image of you and your child, created through a 3D scan. After this scan, the figurine is 3D printed and we take on the task of precisely hand-finishing the figurine. This allows every unique wish to be carefully incorporated. It’s important that your baby lies still, which is why we ask you to come by before your baby is 6 weeks old. This unique figurine of you and your child can only be made from cast bronze.

Making an appointment for a scan for a 3D figurine is easy. Go to our website, click on the ‘make an appointment‘ button. Then you can choose whether you want to make an appointment with Barbara in Amsterdam or with Melis in Deventer. Then pick a date and time that suits you and let us know if you have specific wishes for your appointment.

Visiting One of Our Locations

When the day arrives that you and your baby visit one of our locations, you’ll be welcomed by Barbara or Melis with caffeine-free coffee or a non-alcoholic drink. We start with an explanation of what you can expect from the scan and discuss your specific wishes for the unique mother and child figurine. Then the scanning process begins!

The 3D Scan

After we finish our drink, we guide you to the room where you can comfortably change and put on your bathrobe. For the most beautiful result, the scan is performed without clothing and lingerie. Would you prefer to keep something on? That’s no problem, the choice is entirely yours. Fathers can keep their underwear on during the scan.

Next, we look together at how you want to stand for the 3D scan. When you’re ready, the scan begins, during the scan we walk circles around you. Within just 3 minutes we’re done scanning. Don’t worry, the 3D scan is completely safe for you and your child. You can view the scan results immediately. If you’re not satisfied, we’ll perform the scan again.

When the mother and child figurine is ready, you can choose to pick it up from Barbara in Amsterdam. However, we recommend choosing shipping, because we understand that you have your hands full with the little one who is only a few weeks old.
